Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alright! The Bluetooth is good, the sound quality is great, and about the comfort I would only complain about how they start to feel heavy after wearing them for a long period of time but in my opinion that is kind of a given especially since these are my first pair of headphones. Everything else about its comfort is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 stars provided you're using the v1.8 firmware These headphones sound great. Really impressed with the range they can push and for the price/feature set it's a no brainer. Keep in mind unless you upgrade the firmware to 1.8 (maybe earlier versions work?) there is a 0.5 - 1 second audio delay so trying to watch video is a no go. Once upgraded to version 1.8 the issue immediately disappeared.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible sound -- If you want to use these wirelessly for video you might want to hold off because there is indeed a slight audio delay. FYI you can fix this if you go wired instead of using wireless. -- However, if you simply want a great pair of wireless headphones for listening to music, then these are your headphones. I was able to try these at best buy before purchasing and they were set up with a wire so I was worried that maybe they wouldn't sound as good when using bluetooth, but I was happily mistaken. They sound perfect! There is minimal "static" or "interference" when in bluetooth mode, which I have found is much better than other headphone brands, which you can hear pretty loudly at very quiet points in your music which is super annoying. With the JBLs you can barely hear it, and I'm more than happy to have that slight interference to be able to go wireless. Of course this is not an issue when wired. I've tried tons of headphones before these JBLs, and am confident I've finally found the best one. The bass is strong, tight, smooth, present, but not overpowering and the sole feature focus of these cans. The mids and highs are also perfectly present making for a solid sound along the entire frequency spectrum. I would describe them as a well balanced (but not flat) sound with an exciting EQ. Great thumping bass, clear prominent mids, and crisp shimmering highs... just incredible. Probably not something you'd want for mixing music because they are not flat monitoring headphones, but for listening to and enjoying various genres of music (EDM, electronic, metal, rock, indie, classical, etc.), they are super fun and pleasing to listen to. The headphones are well constructed and comfortable. The ear cups are able to rotate from the headband on all axises for any head shape. The ear cups are also contoured to fit the shape of your head rather than being flat cups. This creates a better seal with your head and does two things. First, it traps sound in, making your music sound better as the waves don't escape and rather go into your ears where they belong. This also cuts down on sound bleed in case you want to crank some tunes in a library and not have other people complain. Second, this tight seal works as a noise cancellation without the electronic assist. I find that with electronic audio cancelling technology, my head feels like it's being sucked into a vacuum which is super unpleasant. This simpler old school method of noise cancellation is much preferred, as it simply cuts down exterior noise from sound dampening, and a good seal. I wouldn't even bother with the Elite model that adds the noise cancelling, and app with audio adjustments. In fact, I listened to both of these side by side at best buy and preferred the sound of this cheaper model without those extra features. This version also gets louder than the more expensive model. These headphones are certainly worth the regular price of $199, and they are currently on sale for $169, which is the best bargain ever. YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER HEADPHONE FOR THE MONEY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better sound quality and comfort than expected! I bought these from Best Buy. I was looking for headphones with a good bass response. These were the best for me because it allowed the bass to sound clean while still having balanced highs and mids. Sometimes the button to pause music takes a few clicks to work, but its nothing too serious. I am quite happy with my purchase! I love that you can plug in a cord too (also has a mic) if you don't want to run down your battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really surprised and love the sound I have to say I tried them at the store and didn't get an idea of quality of sound. The sample music wasn't that good. My wife got them and I tried them when we got some. WOW they sound great. Impressive, most impressive. They feel durable yet light, they are pre charged which is awesome. Connecting to my iPhone 6s was immediate. They feel comfortable and block most of the ambient sound not all but they do a pretty good job. BT I walked over 45ft away in a datacenter and they didn't drop connection till about 48ft they started to drop. They are large, but feel nice. Only issue I have is the buttons are easily pushed when adjusting so it can be a bit frustrating.

Hi there There is no sound coming out of my JBL 700 Elite. The Power LED is red and is burning constantly, and the LED below is burning a constant white (both LEDs are on the right ear cup). No sound comes out when I try to connect via cable either.

The EVEREST ELITE 700 may not be working as it should. I noticed that you are in Cape Town. Please contact the store where you purchased it and they will be able to help, or at least guide you to the people that can help.

charging light does not come on when plugged in, why?

Asked by: perry
There is a constant red light in the LED of the EVEREST 700 while charging takes place. When charging is complete, the diode goes dark. In order to ensure that the issue is caused by a defect in the EVEREST 700, try using a different USB charging cable and try alternating where you are charging it (i.e wall outlet, USB ports on laptops/computer) and let it charge. If this doesn't help, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/contactus and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

I've only used my headphones to listen to music and the music has been skipping. I'd rather not have to go and return the headphones so is there a way for me to fix this issue? (I bought the headphones, charged them, and started listening to music after).

Asked by: ryanab
We are sorry to hear about the issues you are having with our product. Please make sure that the device you are connected to is within reasonable range with no obstructions blocking the headphone connection. We also recommend testing the headphones on a different device to see if you still experience the skipping issue. If the problem proceeds, please contact your local JBL Customer Service for technical support.

Updating firmware via  HID software and I get stuck to connect my JBL 700 to computer.  They said that I need to long dress volume + and MBF in 5 seconds. I wonder what the heck is MBF??? I tried to press volume + and other button but not working.

Asked by: Light
The Multi-function Button(MFB) is located in between the volume + and - buttons.

I know that the Everest 700 headphones are wireless, but it says that they do come with a 3.5mm audio cable. My question is two-fold, can you use the headphones non-wirelessly, and if so, do they need to be recharged?

Asked by: Tyler27
The headphones can also be used as wired. The purpose of the 3.5 bypass cable is that when the headphones are low on charge, you connect the bypass cable(3.5 Aux cable) for continued usage of the headphones. The headphones will not use the battery while connected via the bypass cable.

Are there any options to update with firmware with a mac?

Asked by: Pags
Unfortunately at this time the firmware update is not available on IOS devices. The only way to download the firmware is with a Windows PC. We hope to have the IOS option available in the near future. We apologize for the inconvenience.

How to get out of sharing

Asked by: Tom bonner
To get out of sharing mode on EVEREST 700, just press “ShareMe 2.0” button below the power button. The white LED will turn off, indication that this feature is currently disabled.
