FAQs
Fast answers to the most commonly asked questions |
| Q | I am using the Nano/iTouch/iPhone, and I'm getting noise and static. What's the problem? | |
| A | Updating to a newer version of the iPod/iPhone software will solve these problems. Please update your iPod/iPhone to the latest revision offered by Apple (Rev. 2.2 or higher). |
|
| Q | My iPhone asks if I want to go into Airplane Mode and it the IIIP does not charge the iPhone. What's the problem?
| |
| A | Updating to a newer version of the iPhone software will solve these problems. Please update your iPhone to the latest revision offered by Apple (Rev. 2.2 or higher).
|
|
| Q | I am using this unit with an iPod NANO, and I keep getting noise and static. What's the problem?
| |
| A | Please charge the Nano’s battery to at least 25% level to avoid noise caused by rapid charging of Nano battery. You can also use the OnStage portable mode (not plugged in to wall outlet) but Nano will not charge in portable mode. |
|
| Q | I’ve tried connecting the AUDIO OUTPUT to my receiver (other audio component) and I get very little or no output. What’s the problem? | |
| A | The AUDIO OUTPUT is a variable output, controlled by the volume control. It was designed to be used with any standard or multi-media powered subwoofer with a built-in crossover. Using it with a receiver or other audio component would require that you turn the volume on the unit all the way up (do this while music is paused/stopped) and then mute it by pressing both the + and – volume buttons at the same time. This will send the proper signal to your audio component while muting the speakers on the unit. To disconnect your receiver or other audio component be sure to turn the volume back down on the unit before unplugging or un-muting, as playing the unit at full volume may damage the internal speakers.” |
|
| Q | I am using an iPhone (any version) and I keep getting noise and static. What's the problem?
| |
| A | Because of the iPhone’s unique circuitry and cellular phone capabilities, users can sometimes experience noise problems when using it with certain aftermarket products that are labeled Made for iPod (MFi). iPhones should be set to Airplane Mode when docked in an OnStage III to avoid static noise. The On Stage IIIP is a special version of the On Stage - it was designed with the iPhone in mind and has Apple’s certification as a ”Works With iPhone” (WWi) product. You will not experience any noise issues when using the On Stage IIIP with your iPhone in both normal and/or airplane modes. The OnStage IIIP can be purchased direct from JBL or other national Retailers and Etailers. |
