With an impressive 500 watts of peak power handling, the JBL CS Series CS1014 subwoofer outperforms anything you may have heard before. Its polypropylene woofer cone is light as a feather, ensuring maximum efficiency and performance. A progressive spider provides better control at excursion limits than a linear spider ever could, reducing distortion at even the highest output levels. Go ahead and use the CS1014 with a small amplifier. You’ll have exquisite bass reproduction. Sure, it’s the sound in your car. And it matters. JBL knows what your standards are no matter where you are and where you go – and they’re our standards too.

Is 150 RMS to much for this sub..cs1014..it says it is 125 RMS..

Asked by: Driveline
The CS1014 is rated to handle 125 watts continuously, but it can also accommodate power ranging from 50 - 500 watts for a limited time frame. Although we advise using an 125 watts amp, 150 watts RMS should be fine as long as you do not crank it.

Will this sound good in my 1971 mustang and what amp would be best?

Asked by: Jamez
Yes it will, I would suggest to get the GTR-102 since it can drive 100W at 4 ohms while the CS1014 can handle 125W at 4 ohms. It should fit perfectly for your car.

Does this fit with my car Ford taurus 2011 SEL

Asked by: AlHarbi
Your car does not currently have a 10” sub in it, so there is no way to say it fits in the car. However, as with most after-market subwoofer installations, of course you can fit it somewhere. You must determine how much space you are willing to give up, decide on the box you want, and then determine if this speaker will work in with your plan. If you have not done any kind of subwoofer installations before, I would recommend that you have your local authorized dealer evaluate the system with you, so that you can determine what would work best in your vehicle.
